Coconut milk
Olive oil
Avocado
Raw nuts
Cocoa
Hemp oil

Drink your vegetables  if you can't eat them.

Eat more raw vegetables and fruits if you can. Heat kills the nutrients that are ment for us to intake.

Did you know that 95 percent of the vitamins and enzymes our bodies need are found in the juice of raw fruits and vegetables? We would need to eat 2 lbs of carrots, 10-12 apples, or 8 lbs of spinach to get the same amount of nutrients you receive in one 16 oz juice. When you drink juice, highly concentrated vitamins, minerals and enzymes rapidly enter the bloodstream absorbing all of the nutritional benefits of the fruits and vegetables and giving your digestive organs a much-needed rest.

Freshly made juice is a great way to enjoy fruits and even some vegetables. Home juicing is good because you can enjoy the freshest juice possible.

You will receive a good source of vitamins from the fruits that you juice, especially vitamin C, however, juicing usually means that you will receive less fiber than was present in the whole food.
It is important to remember that because juices usually contain less fiber, they may not be as filling so you may be more likely to over drink this product than when eating the whole food.

We think it’s best to drink our juices the same day they are pressed. As soon as any juice meets the air it begins to oxidize, compromising its nutritional value. However, storing our full juices in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed glass jar slows this process.

The best time to drink juice is on an empty stomach or at least an hour before eating a meal. When your stomach is void of food, it is able to absorb all of the nutrients found in freshly made juices. Your stomach is probably its emptiest in the morning before you eat breakfast. This maximizes the amount of nutrients absorbed into the body. Of course, fresh pressed juice is still loaded with health benefits even if you can’t drink it during the recommended window.

There is lots of research that shows the healing properties of juicing. Not only will juicing facilitate weight loss, increased energy levels, strengthened immunity, strong bones and a glowing complexion, it will also reduce chances of heart disease, cancer and strokes, three of the leading causes of death. A growing body of research suggests that most vitamin supplements don’t help prevent chronic disease. A synthetic vitamin or mineral is a laboratory simulation of the real thing. Natural, plant-based vitamins and minerals are more easily and completely absorbed by the body.

While people do lose weight, this is a side effect of removing the toxic and extraneous matter that have been stored within your fat cells. By doing so allowing your body to achieve superior health. A juicing cleanse is not a diet, it heals, it nourishes, it feasts and regenerates your whole body.

It is impossible to eat the high doses of vegetables and fruits that are in a juice. Raw Juicing not only eliminates the need for munching and chewing high quantities of greens and vegetables, it also minimizes the body’s digestive effort, since nutrients are absorbed into blood stream within minutes. Juicing breaks down fibers in the vegetables, making it easier for our body to absorb all the nutrients.

Scientists have identified over 5000 different enzymes plus many more that our bodies utilize. Live enzymes are the catalyst for every human function. They perform 1000 important life supporting functions. They help repair our DNA help digest food, and help us assimilate the nutrients within food among many more. Dead processed and cooked foods have few, if any, live enzymes. Why? Because enzymes die when they’re heated above 118 degrees. Studies have shown that there is a strong correlation between eating animal protein and the incidence of cancer, heart disease and other illnesses.

Juicing it’s all about the live enzymes, amino acids, minerals and vitamins. Juicing is a nutrient dense way to alkalize your body & infuse your cells with a high dose of phytonutrients. By not eating solid foods you allow your body to conserve energy and utilize it to heal you at the base of the problem, NOT just the symptom. Juicing re-balances and cleans the sludge, mucus and toxins in our bodies so we can adequately absorb nutrients. It balances out our pH scale, letting our bodies be slightly alkaline, which is 7.3. One of the most important results of juicing is it will help to maintain the pH balance of your body. And as has been scientifically proven, you are less prone to disease and ailments if your body is slightly alkaline.

Fresh juice not only contains greater nutritional value, it contains life. Fresh pressed juice is like drinking a natural vitamin filled with living enzymes, essential minerals, antioxidants, and natural antibiotics, which are vital for optimal health. Bottled juices are pasteurized which means they are heated and processed, which kills vitamins and minerals.

Here are four reasons to avoid bottled juices:

Any juice that is going to last longer than 3-4 days HAS to be put through a high-heat, flash pasteurization process to kill microorganisms that could cause disease, spoilage, or undesired fermentation. This involves exposing the beverage to 250+ degrees F (thus killing all of the enzymes present) and letting it rapidly cool down after the heat.
If heating something that high can destroy all the potentially bad, it can certainly destroy the good stuff too. The high temperatures of pasteurization dramatically reduce antioxidant activity, if not eliminating it completely. Proteins are denatured by the heat exposure, and the good stuff is gone, people…. gone.
These juices are devoid of fiber, and loaded with lots of “simple” (processed, dead) sugar after the high heat process. This makes your body produce extra insulin to compensate for the extra sugar, which could contribute to diabetes. ***Fructose, the kind of sugar that is found naturally in fruits and vegetables, and in freshly juiced beverages, is fine in moderation when consumed raw (not pasteurized). This is because the live enzymes and nutrients that accompany the sugar offer the body much needed nourishment.
Bottled juices have extended shelf lives (due to the pasteurization) and sometimes are bottled in low-quality plastic, which has harmful chemicals that could seep into the beverage.

Organic farming use methods that minimize the use of toxins while building soil quality and protecting water quality. Additionally, buying organic supports chemical and pesticide-free practices that are healthier for our farmers and for our planet. Lastly, we feel that organic foods have more intense and delicious flavors.

More evidence seems to pour in every day that organic is better for you. If you’re a juicer, the ingredients in your daily cold-pressed blends should be free of pesticides and GMOs, too.

Below are seven reasons you should make sure that your next juice is organic:

1. Organic foods contain more antioxidants.

There are many substances that can act as antioxidants; chief among them are vitamins A and C, as well as beta-carotene and manganese. Studies have shown that a lack of antioxidant-rich foods can lead to a greater risk of atherosclerosis, cancer, and vision loss.

And oh, how you’ll look! Antioxidants fight those nasty free radicals, which can damage skin, and vitamin C builds healthy hair and promotes nail growth.

2. There are fewer pesticides.

While even non-organic foods contain less than the maximum legal levels of pesticides, common sense suggests that less is better: Some pesticides have been linked to myriad diseases and conditions, including Parkinson’s and cancer. And we should be pouring nutrients into our bodies without the worry that we’re also consuming undesired chemicals.

3. There are few to no additives.

It’s nice to know that what you’re eating is exactly what you think you’re eating. And because regulations placed on organic food majorly restricts the use of additives, processing aids, and fortifying agents that are often found in non-organic foods (preservatives, artificial sweeteners, colorings, flavorings, and monosodium glutamate), you can rest assured you won’t find any surprises in certified organic food.

4. Organic foods are better for the environment.

While you’re helping yourself be as healthy as can be, how about helping the environment and your fellow humans? Organic farming practices help conserve water and improve soil quality. Given the droughts we see occurring every year and the dire reports from environmental experts, these are no small reasons to go organic.

5. They’re higher in nutrients.

Along with fewer pesticides, this is probably the No. 1 reason folks decide to eat organic. Studies have shown that organic foods are often higher in vitamin C, iron, magnesium, and phosphorous than their non-organic counterparts.

6. Organic foods don’t contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

Simply put, GMOs are crops that have been made by combining different genetic material in a non-natural way, or by traditional crossbreeding. As an example, some crops are combined with bacteria to produce their own insecticide, called Bt-toxin. Unfortunately, the poison isn’t just bad for bugs — it’s bad for us, too. It can potentially damage human cell membranes. Yuck.

7. Organic food is often fresher.

Fresh food is the best food, right? And because organic food usually doesn’t contain preservatives, it should be eaten right away. If you’re eating food that’s been lying around for a week — and it still looks fine — it’s probably loaded with preservatives.

What is a detox?

lemon water detoxLet’s start with the basics, as there is quite a bit of confusion around the topic of detoxing. A detox diet aims to help the body rid itself of toxins. Of course, the human body has many natural detox pathways via the liver, urine, sweat and feces. While it is a complex process, the liver neutralizes toxic substances, and then releases them from the body (1). A diet specifically for further detox claims to help the bodies vital organs rest and recover, support and increase liver function, and give you a “boost” of important micronutrients.

Detox diets come in many forms, although most involve some sort of fast (water, juice or broth), and are followed by a period of clean eating. Some include smoothies, supplements, herbs, teas, enemas, and other methods of promoting detoxification.

Cleansing or detox diets are intended to clear your system and improve your health, says CBS News. If you want to make a real change in your health and not just a temporary fix, adopting a new diet for the long haul is a sounder option.cleansing diet, however, can help you change your eating habits permanently for the better. Even so, consult a doctor before attempting any form of dietary cleanse.

Identification

cleansing diet should not be a fasting diet. That is, it shouldn't have a component where you deprive yourself of food in favor of drinks or juices. Rather, it should simply include a balanced diet, says Keri Glassman, a registered dietitian. This can include vegetables, fruits, whole grains and lean sources of protein, such as poultry or fish. Some items that are typically eliminated across the board include caffeine, refined sugar, artificial sweeteners and alcohol. What's important is increasing your intake of raw vegetables and water to encourage your body to flush out waste and bring you to better health

Fat Burning Juice-Detox Drinks

Cleansing detox diets have become increasingly popular as a quick weight-loss method for improved health. A detox involves eliminating the toxins that accumulate daily in our bodies from what we eat and drink, our environment and the chemicals we use. These toxins build up in the body and contribute to poor energy levels, weight gain and an increased risk of serious health diseases. However, detox diets may be harmful to your health without the supervision of a physician and if conducted long term. Consider implementing aspects of a cleansing detox diet as a transition into a healthy lifestyle.

Short-Term

Conduct a healthy detox diet only in the short term. Most cleanses range between three to 10 days. Longer diet plans should be under the consultation of a medical professional who can determine your dietary needs. A main goal of a cleanse is to establish a healthier digestive system, giving it time to rest and recover from having to digest high fat and sugary foods. However, if conducted for long periods, there is a risk of decreasing the supply of healthy bacteria in the gut needed for normal digestive processes.

Drink Fluids

A healthy cleanse generally involves consuming plenty of fluids. Water aids in the elimination of waste products, pushing food through the digestive tract. This helps prevent constipation as well as decreasing stomach bloat and water retention. Drink 8 to 10 cups of water daily or more, depending on your activity level and needs. In addition to water, prepared vegetable juices and smoothies are also a main focus of many detoxes as these drinks provide essential nutrients to improve your health.

Fruits and Vegetables

A cleansing diet should have fresh fruits and vegetables as its foundation. Fruits and vegetables are rich in essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals needed for normal body functions, hormonal balance, skin health and the reproductive system. Many, such as artichokes, broccoli and berries, are also rich in antioxidants which help prevent certain cancers and the risk of heart disease. Produce is also a source of dietary fiber which helps fill you up and stabilize blood sugar, which prevents hunger and food cravings.

Fiber

A cleansing detox diet should contain sources of fiber to help eliminate waste and toxins. Dietary fiber is an essential nutrient that aids in the regulation of the digestive system, moving food through the intestinal tract and bulking up stools. It is the part of plant foods that is not digested or absorbed in the gut, meaning that it passes through to help flush the body without adding excess calories or fat. Healthy high-fiber foods to include in a detox are fruits with the skin such as apples and pears; vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower and carrots; and whole-grain foods including whole-wheat bread and rolled oats.
